Veorika (Vicki) Anto was a volunteer for a short time but she made a big impact on all of us.
Even though she was fighting cancer she still cared about the animals. As long as she could, she volunteered at the shelter to help clean the cat cages and walk the dogs. She took in a foster kitten who gave her great pleasure; “little man” is now in a loving home. Vicki looked forward to getting well and becoming a team leader so she could do even more.
Sadly, she lost her battle. All of us that knew her were in awe of her courage, her determination and her compassion for the animals. Second Chance for Animals was fortunate to have her as a volunteer .
