Frank Breen
10/2011

All of SCFA is saddened with the passing of Frank Breen. Our sympathies go out to Nora and the rest of Frank’s family.

Frank was a long-time member of Second Chance.  He served on the board for many years and was at PetSmart every Saturday to help with adoptions. Frank fostered so many kittens that his house was jokingly called the shelter annex. He could be counted on to help Katie any time she called. Frank was forced to curtail his activities in the last few years due to illness but he’d still be seen dropping off newspapers or helping transport supplies to and from fundraising events.

Many, many SCFA volunteers knew, loved and respected Frank.  He was a true gentleman and we will miss him.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,I

I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry-
I am not there... I did not die...
