TRICKY TRAY
Hi SCFA! As you all know our Tricky Tray is scheduled for Friday 10/22 at the Ukrainian Center. We need lots of help the day of the event to pull this off but its worth it - Tricky Tray is a huge fundraiser for SCFA bringing in much of our needed funds for the year. We still do need gifts, baskets and gift cards so please help with soliciting from local vendors or please consider making a basket to donate. Lisa has some great ideas in her last email - movie baskets or baking baskets are great!

Below are the jobs we have for the Tricky Tray event followed by the times for each job. Please note, you can sign up for more than one job - for example you can sell tickets and then you can also be a prize runner once the event begins because those 2 shits do not overlap.

The day of admissions table will handle both money and tickets. Admissions tables will only give people the tickets that come with their entrance fee. Additional tickets and combo packs will be located inside.

WENDY's PROCEED NIGHT - 9/23 5-9PM
Wendy's, located at 835 Easton Avenue, Somerset, is hosting a proceeds night to benefit SCFA. To participate, you only need to eat at Wendy's on September 23 between 5-9PM and tell the cashier that your purchase is for Proceeds Night to benefit Second Chance for Animals. You do not need a flyer but one will be sent out as a reminder and you can bring it to the store if you want. It's that simple and Wendy's will donate 20% of pretax sales of every order that someone mentions the event. This is a great way to raise money without any cost or volunteer signups. You do not have to be a volunteer of SCFA; anyone cany particpate as long as they mention Proceeds Night or the fundraiser for Second Chance for Animals. Pass along the word and mark your calendars.

Town council awarding grant for SCFA/Food bank
The town council is awarding SCFA a grant to help us continue our work supporting the Franklin Township Food Bank. SCFA actively solicits grants to purchase pet food to donate to the food bank. This helps families in need keep their pets in the home and not have to surrender them to the shelter. Lisa will be accepting a grant from the council on 9/14. Please come out and support her. Wear your SCFA t-shirts. council meetings are broadcast on our local cable station 25. coming out in force shows the council and the community that we are here and we care about the homeless animals in town. It's great publicity for us.
