Second Chance for Animals, Inc. is a nonprofit volunteer group devoted to enhancing the lives, adoption rates, and experiences of the animals living in shelters.
SCFA always need volunteers! Due to cut-backs at the Township our help is needed more than ever. We can always use folks in all areas of our group.
SCFA would like to gratefully acknowledge and thank the following organizations for their
Veterans Adoption Event - Tuesday through Saturday, Nov 12-16th; 12-3pm
We feel that the love of a cat, dog, or other pet truly enhances a home. To honor our veterans and the sacrifices they and their families make for us every day, SCFA would like to reimburse the cost of bringing one of our pets into their home. So for every pet adopted from the Fanklin Township Animals Shelter from November 12th through November 16th by a US military veteran or their family, we will send a check for $60 to them for reimbursement of the adoption fee. Ask for the multi-pet adoption form at the time of adoption. After taking your pet for its first vet visit, send us a copy of your vet receipt, date of adoption and proof of military service.
Franklin Township Animal Shelter Open House and pet food drive- Saturday, November 30th from 12-6 PM
EXTENDED SATURDAY HOURS (12PM-6PM) are starting on 11/30/2013
Come visit the shelter and find out more about the work we do, the animals we care for, and the ways you can help - or adopt your new best friend! We're also kicking off the start of our new, extended Saturday hours so more animals can find their 'forever home' this holiday season. Plus there will be a special visit from Santa and Mr. Claus (on a firetruck!) to spread holiday cheer! Experience the true spirit of the holiday season with our dedicated shelter staff and SCFA volunteers. If you are able, we would appreciate any pet food donations.
'tis the season...for Santa Paws!!
